Google Workspace - Update record action

Update record action allows you to update an object in the Google Workspace. To configure the action, you will need to first select an object from the list of objects that you want to update, after which more fields pertaining to that object will be shown.

Update a User

Updates a user in Google Workspace

Input Fields

Field Name	Description
Email address	Email address of the user to update
Generate Password	Select yes to generate randomized password, if not provide a custom password in the custom password field
Organizational unit	Enter a new organizational unit name or select from the list
Custom fields schema	Provision to add customer fields which can be passed on to update the user

Alongside the key input fields listed above, there are numerous optional fields available, which can be added as per your preferences and updated in the Google Workspace.

Output Fields

Output fields relevant to the user object you have updated are displayed. This includes any custom fields you may have attached to the user object. The datapills correspond to the data of the user in Google Workspace which you have just updated.

Update user to admin

Updates user to an admin in Google Workspace

Input Fields

Email address	The user's primary email address
Admin Status	Option to set the admin status of the user so that it can be updated

Output Fields

Output field returns if the update was successful or not.

Update a Group

Updates a group in Google Workspace

Input Fields

Group email address/Group ID	The current email address of the group to be updated
Description	Description about the group
Email address	Email address of the group to update
Group display name	Display name of the group

Update an organizational unit

Updates an organizational unit in Google Workspace

Input Fields

Field Name	Description
Organizational unit	Option to select the organizational unit
Description	Description of the organizational unit
Organizational unit name	The path name of the organizational unit
Block inheritance	Option to inherit the settings of parent organizational unit or not
Parent organizational path	Option to select or enter the path of the parent organizational unit

Update a member of a group

Updates a member of a group in Google Workspace

Input Fields

Field Name	Description
Group email address	The group email address/group alias/unique group ID
Group member email address	The email address of the user or another group which needs to be updated
Mail delivery preferences	Option to select mail delivery frequency or disable mail delivery
Group member role	Option to select type of group member, can be manager, member, or owner

Update a license

Updates a product license of a user in Google Workspace

Input Fields

Field Name	Description
Product ID	Name of the product for which the user's license needs an update
SKU	The product SKU's unique identifier number
User ID	Email ID of the user. If the user email address was updated in past, please use the updated email ID of the user
SKU to update	The product SKU's unique identifier number which is to be updated
