What License Genie does

License Genie supports IT and finance teams across the license management lifecycle:

• Identify license optimization opportunities: Retrieves and analyzes user activity data to identify users with low engagement who are candidates for license removal. Works with applications provisioned through Okta and Microsoft Entra ID, allows manual usage report uploads for applications without API access, and excludes pre-approved users from optimization cycles.
• Govern and approve optimization events: Initiates approval workflows with the user, manager, and app admin before proceeding with license optimization actions.
• Execute license optimization: Executes approved license removal actions for Okta or Microsoft Entra ID-managed applications.
• Generate license optimization reports: Generates reports analyzing license utilization and cost savings across applications.
