# Assign a workspace moderator
To assign a new moderator to Automation HQ, follow these steps:
Navigate to Automation HQ and select the Workspace moderators tab.

Click the + Assign workspace moderator button. The Add workspace moderator interface appears.

Select one of the existing HQ workspace collaborators from the Team collaborator drop-down list.
Assign them to the Role you want them to perform in managed workspaces.

Assign the workspace moderator to one or more workspaces using the Choose workspaces drop-down or the search bar.
Assign a workspace moderator to a workspace
Alternatively, assign the workspace moderator to all workspaces by toggling Manage all workspaces.
Click Add workspace moderator. Workato adds the new moderator to the workspace moderator interface. Workato adds the new workspace moderator to the workspace moderator interface
The user is now a workspace moderator and can access the workspace(s) you determined in the preceding steps.
