# AI-powered answers

When a user enters a search query, the AI analyzes the question and generates a response using relevant knowledge sources, such as help articles, product documentation, and community content.

The AI-generated response is displayed at the top of the results, with any source content referenced by the AI listed below the answer and linked to the original articles. This ensures users receive immediate answers, along with clear attribution to supporting content.

# Result views

The search results are segmented into result groups, allowing users to switch between different types of content.

  • All results: Displays a unified list of all content matching the query across your connected knowledge sources.
  • Result groups: Lets users filter results by specific content types, such as help articles, product documentation, or other categories defined in your setup.

You can define result groups and map them to specific knowledge sources by going to Search > UI.

# Use cases

Previewing the search experience is useful for:

  • Verifying the accuracy and relevance of AI-generated responses.
  • Testing how new or updated content is surfaced in search.
  • Ensuring that content groupings and filters work as expected.
  • Identifying gaps in coverage where content might need to be added or revised.

PREVIEW CHANGES IN THE EXPERIENCE TAB

You can use the Experience tab to confirm that changes to indexed content or connected knowledge sources are reflected in the AI's responses and search results.
